Meet Ginger Beer, our first-ever upcycled product.
We're proud members of the Upcycled Food Association, which defines upcycling as "Foods [which] use ingredients that otherwise would not have gone to human consumption, are procured and produced using verifiable supply chains, and have a positive impact on the environment."
Ginger Beer is made by upcycling ginger pulp—the fibrous by-product left over from when we cold-press organic ginger root. We brew this pulp into ginger tea, which we use as a base for the rest of the recipe, transforming what would otherwise be considered food waste into something new and delicious.
With a tickling ginger flavour more on the light, refreshing end of the scale, Ginger Beer's gentle warmth lingers in your throat without overwhelming your tastebuds—think fuzzy, not fiery. Cold-pressed lime brings subtle citrus notes, complementine ginger tones with bright ones in every sip.
At just 4g of sugar per bottle, it's a much lower-sugar alternative to soda and great for adding a spark of warmth to your fall and winter cocktails.
