In 1895, Victor Geyer installs his minuscule shop in a small French village called Munster, the singular laboratory where he hopes to concoct a magic potion from ancestral formulas long kept secret by a handful of families in Lorraine, and capable of quashing even the most rebellious thirst.
Like the medieval alchemists who dreamed of transforming the metals into gold, Victor experiments with thousands of mixtures. This period of trial and error goes on for months and months, but in the end, Victor succeeds in creating his magical lemonade.
And for the rest of his life, he would keep a small notebook tucked away in his pocket where he carefully inscribes ingenious recipes for new brews with berries, oranges, and mandarins that his sons would later use to add to their collection of popular beverages.
Three generations of “Maitres Limonadiers” have passed on their “savoir-faire,” producing a uniquely French Artisanal Soda.
